Our Story 

PrimoAire began with a real-life problem: our founder, Steve Chin-Yee, who owned an air conditioning service business, couldn’t find a reliable, affordable way to monitor and control indoor air quality for his customers. Most solutions were either too complex or didn’t solve the full picture.  

So, in 2022, he started building his own.  

  • The first challenge? Control humidity in a remote home.
  • The solution: a custom-built Wi-Fi indoor air quality monitor for home paired with a SmartPlug and an easy-to-use app. 

From there, real-life needs shaped the product. A request to bring fresh air into an energy-efficient home led to adding the Calei brand, that includes an IAQ dehumidifying ventilating all-inclusive machine, with a wall monitor that uses 24volt power from the site’s existing thermostat. 

As the system evolved, PrimoAire is growing into a full IAQ solution – combining five key air wall mounted sensors, an easy to install CaleiVent central home IAQ unit. 

This technology will be ready for sale in the USA by the first quarter of 2026. Today, PrimoAire products are helping families take charge of their indoor air with confidence.
